Y Ty Commune People's Committee (Lao Cai) has just issued a Plan to organize the 2026 Autumn Festival with the theme "Y Ty - The Attraction of the Great Forest".
The festival takes place from August 22nd to November 15th, 2016, aiming to promote the beauty of ripe rice, the sea of clouds, the cultural identity of ethnic groups and the typical products of the locality. Through this, Y Ty commune has gradually built the Autumn Festival into an annual tourism event, contributing to socio-economic development and attracting tourism investment.
The main activities are concentrated on September 11 and 12 in the central market area of Y Ty commune and some tourist attractions. The festival includes 5 outstanding activities: experience picking and processing tea; culinary culture with the theme "Sim San flavors"; traditional costume performance contest of ethnic groups; opening program; "Y Ty Golden Season" race and the first Lao Than peak climbing race in 2026.
The opening program took place on the morning of September 12 with an art program, an exhibition space, promoting OCOP products, agricultural products, traditional handicrafts; livestream introducing local products and experiencing Ha Nhi culture in Choan Then village.
On the evening of September 11, the Traditional Costume Performance Contest of ethnic groups in Y Ty commune will honor the cultural values, handicrafts and identity of H'Mong, Dao, Ha Nhi people and ethnic groups in the area.
On September 6, the "Yellow Y Ty Season" race will organize distances of 5km, 20km and 42km through terraced fields and typical villages. On November 15, the climbing race to conquer Lao Than peak, 2,860m high, will take place, attracting athletes and tourists who love to explore nature.
Through the Autumn Festival 2026, Y Ty commune expects to promote the potential of landscape, culture and tourism products, contributing to affirming Y Ty as an attractive destination of Lao Cai province.
