On the morning of September 5th, along with students nationwide, 427,650 students in Quang Tri province entered the new school year 2026-2027.
At Lam Thuy Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Secondary School, Kim Ngan commune, a school in the mountainous area of Quang Tri province, from early morning, many parents brought their children to school to attend the new school year opening ceremony.

In the 2026-2027 school year, the school welcomes 46 first-grade students. Before the opening day, the school organized campus cleaning, classroom arrangement, inspected facilities and prepared conditions to serve the opening ceremony, and was ready to welcome students back to school.

The atmosphere at the school from early morning was bustling. Parents brought students to school, teachers welcomed them and guided them to stabilize their positions to prepare to attend the opening ceremony.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province, in the 2026-2027 school year, the whole province has 427,650 students, organized into 14,859 groups/classes; along with 31,635 managers, teachers, and staff.
The whole province currently has 440 schools, down 51.8% compared to July 1, 2025.

The 2026-2027 school year is implemented with the theme "Innovating thinking - Strong changes - Substantial results". The Education sector continues to innovate management, improve the quality of education and use resources effectively.
In which, the sector focuses on perfecting institutions, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management and innovating school governance; continuing to improve the quality of preschool, general and continuing education.
Quang Tri Education sector also implements solutions to ensure fairness in accessing quality education, especially for students in ethnic minority areas, mountainous areas, border areas and particularly difficult areas.
Another key task in the new school year is to promote digital transformation, develop data and apply artificial intelligence in educational activities; and at the same time strengthen political, ideological, ethical, and lifestyle education, ensure school safety and student health care.
The streamlining of the school network is implemented in conjunction with investment in facilities, care for the teaching staff and innovation in management and teaching methods.
The goal in the 2026-2027 school year is to continue to improve the quality of comprehensive education, ensure learning opportunities for students and build an educational environment that meets development requirements.
