On September 4, at School 179, Lieng Srong Primary School, in Lieng Srong Commune, Dam Rong District, the Opening Ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year was held. This is the farthest school and still has many difficulties in Dam Rong District.
School 179 was established in September 2013. The school is located in Sub-area 179, Hamlet 5, Lieng Srong Commune, Dam Rong District, bordering Dak Nong Province. In the 2024-2025 school year, School 179 has 102 students.
Previously, the road to the school was very difficult, especially during the rainy season, so the school did not organize the opening ceremony of the new school year like other schools in the district.
This is also the second year that students at Campus 179, Lieng Srong Primary School have enjoyed the joy of the opening day. Campus 179 is nearly 60km away from the main school.
After each school year, School 179 has received investment from sponsors, the Party and the State. Currently, the teachers' housing has been invested in and in the near future, it is expected that investment will be made to build a spacious, clean school, a yard and a fence surrounding the school campus.
Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Ms. Pham Thi Nguyen said that since the road to the school was improved and concreted, the school decided to hold the opening ceremony 1 day earlier than the opening day nationwide.
This is to help students here enjoy the joy before the new school year and not be disadvantaged compared to their peers.
In particular, this is also an encouragement for teachers to feel secure in their work and believe in the attention of all levels and sectors for the teaching staff working in remote and disadvantaged areas.
On this occasion, the Provincial Women's Union, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district, and the Women's Union of Dam Rong district also presented many scholarships and gifts to the students.
