Ho Chi Minh City National University said that it will expand the locations for the 2nd phase of the 2026 competency assessment exam, adding more exam sites to meet the increasing registration needs of candidates.
Accordingly, the second phase of the exam will start receiving registrations from April 18 to the end of April 25, 2026. The exam will take place on May 24, 2026 at 36 units in 9 provinces and cities including: Hue, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Dong Thap and An Giang. The results are expected to be announced on June 6, 2026.
Faced with the increasing demand for exams, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City has coordinated with higher education institutions in the Central region to add more exam sites. Specifically, the expanded localities include Da Nang (old Da Nang and Quang Nam areas), Quang Ngai and Dak Lak (old Phu Yen areas). This expansion helps candidates have more suitable locations, reduce travel pressure and costs, especially for candidates in remote provinces.
To ensure the exam takes place safely, seriously and in accordance with regulations, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City said that it has coordinated with partner universities in localities in preparing facilities, arranging personnel, organizing exam supervision and ensuring security.
In addition, candidates can register for the exam until the end of April 25 and are allowed to adjust and change exam locations until the end of April 27 to suit travel conditions.
The competency assessment exam of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City is currently one of the important admission methods, used by many higher education institutions nationwide.
