On January 3, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training (DET) announced that it had just issued Document No. 417 signed by Director Thai Van Thanh, requiring educational institutions in the area to strictly implement Circular 29/2024 of the Ministry of Education and Training on regulations on extra teaching and learning. Reversal
The document emphasizes the dissemination of Circular 29 to all cadres, teachers, and employees in educational institutions, along with related directives such as Official Dispatch No. 10 dated February 7, 2025 of the Prime Minister on strengthening the management of extra teaching and learning activities.
For primary education, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training requires educational institutions with enough teachers to continue implementing the education plan with a duration of 32 periods/week, divided into 9 sessions/week for all grades.
Establishments lacking teachers need the Department of Education and Training to advise the People's Committees at the district level to support funding to maintain the above education plan.
If there is not enough funding, it is necessary to adjust the flexible teaching plan, ensuring the content and duration of compulsory subjects according to the 2018 General Education Program, in accordance with students' characteristics and local conditions.
For secondary education, it is necessary to strengthen the responsibility of management staff and teachers in management and teaching, seriously implement the school's education plan to ensure quality.
Schools and professional groups need to have support solutions, create conditions for teachers to have a favorable environment, and implement measures to ensure the quality of education in teaching.
Encourage secondary schools to agree with parents to develop a school education plan to organize 2 teaching sessions/day, in order to improve the quality of comprehensive education and develop skills for students from the 2025-2026 school year.
During the implementation process, it is necessary to clearly propagate the plan and implementation methods of the school so that teachers, students, and parents know in order to create sharing, support, and consensus.
According to Mr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of Nghe An Department of Education and Training, the implementation of Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDDT in Nghe An aims to strictly manage extra teaching and learning activities, while maintaining and continuing to improve the quality of education in the province.
Nghe An Department of Education and Training requires continuing to implement a review plan for grade 9 and grade 12 students to ensure that 100% of students who wish to review are eligible, in order to ensure their rights in the entrance exam for grade 10 high school in the 2025-2026 school year and the high school graduation exam in 2025.
Units will base on the number and subjects of students registering for extra classes according to each subject, the unit's teaching plan, develop an estimate for extra classes, and determine the available funding source at the unit for implementation.
In case of lack of funding, the unit will prepare a dossier to request additional funding and send it to the higher management agency for synthesis and submission to the competent authority for approval, supplementing funding sources for the units.
