On March 13, the Traffic Police Department of Hue City Police said that in the first 3 months of 2026, functional forces discovered and handled more than 16,000 cases of traffic safety violations.
Among these, there are more than 8,000 violations related to speed and alcohol concentration, errors identified as direct causes of many traffic accidents.
According to Hue City Police, in the past time, the unit has synchronously implemented many solutions to ensure traffic order and safety according to the direction of the Ministry of Public Security and the City People's Committee. The Traffic Police force coordinated with commune-level police to promote propaganda for more than 14,000 people; and at the same time organized propaganda and signed commitments to comply with traffic laws for nearly 300 drivers, transport business owners and three-wheeled vehicle users.
In addition to propaganda work, functional forces mobilize maximum forces, vehicles and technical equipment to strengthen patrols and controls with the motto "no forbidden zones, no exceptions".
Forces such as Traffic Police, Mobile Police, Team 1311 and youth patrol teams also deployed many solutions to strictly handle cases of youth gatherings, violations of public order and traffic safety.
In the coming time, Hue City Police requests units to continue advising Party committees and local authorities to mobilize forces to participate in ensuring traffic order and safety; and at the same time innovate propaganda forms suitable for each target group, strengthen violation handling through camera systems, and improve the effectiveness of "cold fines".
In the immediate future, functional forces will focus on ensuring absolute security and safety for the election activities of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term; and at the same time continue to strictly handle acts of swerving, zigzagging, causing public disorder, illegal racing, especially among teenagers.
