World oil prices fluctuate sharply

World gasoline and oil prices fluctuated sharply in the last trading session of the week. At the end of the session, WTI oil price was at 111.54 USD/barrel, up 11.42 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 11.41%. Brent oil was at 109.3 USD/barrel, up 7.87 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 7.78%.

According to analysts, the oil market has just experienced a volatile trading session as the market re-assesses the risk of supply disruption due to escalating conflict in the Persian Gulf region.

World oil prices at one point slightly decreased after information that Oman and Iran are coordinating to collect fees for oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz. However, the optimistic sentiment about the possibility of early supply normalization only lasts for a short time, before oil prices rise again.
