The atmosphere on roads and Tet flower selling areas in Ho Chi Minh City in the hours before New Year's Eve becomes bustling. Small traders continuously offer invitations, ready to deeply reduce prices to release the remaining flower stock.
Recorded in many large flower selling areas in Ho Chi Minh City, the common reduction ranges from 50-70% compared to the opening time. Many peach blossom pots that were once offered for sale at a few hundred thousand VND are now priced at 100,000-200,000 VND/tree.
Small apricot pots, popular shapes are sold for about 200,000-300,000 VND/tree, bougainvilleas are 200,000 VND/tree, kumquats are 40,000-50,000 VND/pot, even lower if customers buy in large quantities.

Mr. Hoa - a flower trader at 23/9 Park - said that the remaining flower quantity is not much.
This year, purchasing power is quite good, selling prices are reasonable, so customers buy regularly. However, at the time near New Year's Eve, price reductions are still a reasonable solution to speed up goods and end the Tet season soon" - Mr. Hoa said.

Other potted flowers such as chrysanthemums, marigolds, cockscomb... are also adjusted down to more than 100,000 VND or only a few tens of thousands of VND per pot.
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Anh (Cau Ong Lanh ward) shared: "From December 23rd of the lunar calendar, I bought two pots of peach blossoms to display for Tet. Today, passing by and seeing small traders discounting goods, I stopped by to buy another pot, both to decorate the house and to support everyone to move in early to welcome Tet.

Meanwhile, Tet flowers at Gia Dinh park and Le Van Tam park are also almost sold out. According to small traders, this year, the amount of flowers is generally selling quite well, many types are sold out earlier than expected. The number of flowers and sellers to Ho Chi Minh City is less, so it also avoids the situation of supply exceeding demand.
