4 effective ways to protect your skin from the hot summer sun

VĂN THẮNG (HEALTHLINE) |

Healthline has shown 4 ways to help you protect your skin effectively, avoiding the hot summer sunlight.

Provide enough water for the body

Contrary to popular thinking, staying hydrated does not require you to monitor how much water you consume per day. Instead, just consider the color of your urine, if it is clear or light yellow, which means your body is already water-deficient, but if it is cloudy or dark yellow, you are dehydrated. Try to keep your urine as bland as possible every day.

You should supplement pure water instead of drinking sweet, carbonated drinks.

Apply sunscreen when exposed to sunlight

Sunscreen is a cosmetic product containing many ingredients that can reflect or absorb UV rays. Therefore, when the skin is affected, this cream will prevent the use of purple ultrasound in the skin, thereby reducing damage from sunlight.

To protect your skin from the sun, avoid direct contact between 10am and 4pm. Use sunscreen every day 15 minutes before exposure to sunlight, note to choose sunscreens with PA +++ (expressing the highest level of UVA skin protection product).

Note that choose sunscreen for the right purpose (used for the face, lips and body) to help maximize the best results. Not only sun protection for the face but also don't forget to protect both sides of the ear and especially the scalp.

Wearing clothes and sunscreen accessories

Another way to protect your skin from harmful UV rays and avoid applying a large amount of sunscreen every day is to wear clothes and accessories that can protect the body.

Keep your skin cool and protect it as the temperature rises by wearing woven, breathable clothes like cotton or flax. Choose a shirt, long pants or a wide and light dress instead of a three-door shirt and shorts, and don't forget to cover the skin on the wide-brimmed hat.

Supplement a skin-healthy diet

Summer foods such as watermelon, blueberries, cucumbers and tomatoes are also rich in antioxidants that help promote collagen regeneration in your skin.

In addition, green tea provides natural substances that help treat and prevent skin problems such as allergies, rashes, etc.

Tuna and salmon are a source of omega-3 that helps whiten skin to be bright and healthy. This fatty acid can help supplement moisture while reducing the risk of dermatitis.
