On the afternoon of November 11, the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired a press conference on the contest "Hanoi's Voice 2024" with the theme "Hanoi - A pink heart".
According to Mr. Do Dinh Hong - Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Head of the Organizing Committee, the contest is not only an artistic playground, but also an opportunity for contestants as well as Hanoi people to review the heroic history and arouse love and pride for the homeland in everyone's heart.
Hanoi - a city with a rich history and unique cultural values, is a place that preserves a thousand-year-old tradition of culture and is also the cradle for many artists. This is not only a land of elegance and grace but also a place to nurture young and enthusiastic musical talents.
“With the gathering of young singers, it promises to bring an impressive, emotional musical space, where each contestant has the opportunity to express their passion, aspiration and love for music,” said Mr. Hong.
According to the Organizing Committee, the theme “Hanoi - A Pink Heart” is the central message throughout the contest, not only honoring the elegant beauty of Hanoi, but also depicting the love and pride in the cultural and artistic traditions that the Capital has preserved over thousands of years of history.
Sharing at the press conference, People's Artist Quoc Hung said that this year's contest attracted the participation of contestants from 16 to 35 years old, living, working and studying in Hanoi and some contestants who have won high prizes in domestic vocal competitions.
The competition consists of three main rounds: Preliminary round, semi-final round and final round.
In the preliminary round, contestants will sing their registered songs without any musical accompaniment, thereby clearly expressing their voice, style and musical personality in the most authentic way. The Organizing Committee will select the 60 best contestants to continue competing in the Semi-finals, where they will be supported by a professional orchestra.
The Final Round will be a night of brilliance for the 12 most outstanding singers, where they will perform in front of the Jury and the audience with songs about Hanoi and a song of their own choice.
The final night is scheduled to be held at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace and will be broadcast live on Hanoi Radio and Television, bringing a colorful musical feast, conveying the love of the Capital to all audiences.
“In addition to showing their talents, the contestants also bring their love and pride for the culture and people of Hanoi, contributing to the diversity and depth of modern music,” said Mr. Do Dinh Hong.
