The 2025 Ho Chi Minh City Veterans Football Tournament, after many years of absence, officially took place on the morning of November 8 at Tao Dan Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City).
This tournament brings together 3 football teams including: Former students of the University of Science and Technology - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, Former students of the University of Natural Sciences, Ho Chi Minh City and Former students of the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City.
The 3 teams will compete in a round-robin, selecting the team with the highest score to be crowned champion, and the following rankings.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Khac Dong - Head of the tournament organizing committee - shared: "The Ho Chi Minh City Former Students Award 2025 is not only a sports playground that connects team spirit and friendship after many years away from school, but also an opportunity for us to demonstrate our sense of responsibility to society.
In the face of the storm and flood causing heavy damage in the Central region, the Organizing Committee and former students wish to contribute a small part, joining hands with the community to support people in difficulty".

The final result, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics Former Students football team won the championship, the second place belonged to the University of Science and Technology Former Students football team - Ho Chi Minh City National University. Former student of Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Sciences won the bronze medal.
In particular, this year's tournament is not only a sports playground spreading the spirit of sports training and connecting activities outside society, but also a tournament hoping that generations of alumni will join hands to support people facing severe floods in the Central region in recent times.
At the closing ceremony, representatives of the organizing committee and sponsor Hyundai Xteer of the tournament presented a total of 100 million VND to representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Agency to support people affected by recent natural disasters and floods in the Central region.
