The 2025 Saigon Beer Dragon Cup International 7-a-side football tournament will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, gathering 3 representatives including: the Vietnamese 7-a-side football team, the Thai 7-a-side football team and Kampung Rawa FC (Malaysia).
The host team Vietnam and the 7-a-side Thai team both had a smooth start to the tournament when they won against the remaining representative, Kampung Rawa (Malaysia). Before the final match, both Vietnam and Thailand had 3 points. However, the representative from the land of the Golden Temple has the advantage of having a better goal difference and only needs a draw to be sure to be crowned king.
In the match that decided the throne, the 7-a-side football team of Thailand showed impressive form when defeating the Vietnamese team with a score of 5-1.
The only goal for Vietnam was scored by Tuan Anh Jr, while Thailand had an explosive performance with goals from Sihanart Suttisak, Chaiyong Pearpong, Tanet Seangthong (double) and Kittikoon Pawong.
With this result, Thailand won all 6 points, officially becoming the new king of the tournament. The Vietnam team ended their journey as runners-up, while the representative from Malaysia Kampung Rawa FC ranked 3rd overall.
In particular, in response to the campaign to support the Cuban people launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the Organizing Committee and members of the Vietnam 7-a-side football team also made practical contributions when contributing 1,000 USD to the fund. This is a noble gesture, demonstrating the spirit of affection and solidarity of the Vietnamese people with traditional friend Cuba.
