The VinFast IRONman 70.3 Vietnam Tri-Sports Tournament officially ended with a great result for athletes with endurance and conquering all difficulties of the races.
This year's event marks a historic milestone with the 10th anniversary of IRONmanman's presence in Vietnam, and at the same time setting a record as the largest IRONman 70.3 tournament ever held in Southeast Asia.
The event was attended by more than 3,500 athletes from more than 70 countries around the world.
In the men's event, athlete Kenshin Mizushima from Thailand excellently won the championship with an impressive completion time of 4 hours 4 minutes 17 seconds. Following closely behind is Christopher Mascarenhas Keyes from the UK and Northern Ireland. The third place belongs to Abdullah Alrefae from Kuwait.
In the women's event, the athletes also brought equally eye-catching performances. The women's championship went to Michelle Nagle, from the Republic of Ireland, with a time of 4 hours 42 minutes 22 seconds.

The remaining two positions on the podium witnessed the impressive brilliance of Vietnamese female athletes. Nguyen Thi Kim Cuong continued to affirm her top form when finishing in second place. And Nguyen Tra My finished in third place. These are also two Vietnamese female athletes who won second and third place at IRONman 2024.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trong Thao - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, said that Da Nang City is proud to see that the percentage of Vietnamese athletes accounts for more than 60% of the total number of attendees - clear evidence for the strong development of the durable sports movement in the country.
"IRONMAN 70.3 Da Nang continues to play an important role in discovering and nurturing sports talents, promoting a healthy lifestyle and strengthening community connections. The city wishes to strengthen cooperation with Sunrise Events Vietnam to make Da Nang a leading destination for sports events and cultural exchanges," Mr. Thao emphasized.
