The 2025 Southern Ta Pha Cup 7-a-side championship will be won by 12 teams including: Home team Ta Pha FC, Pima, Khoi Nguyen and Sunsea in Group A.
Group B with the participation of An Bien, Dai Dong Son, Hong Kong 1 and Thai Binh Gia Bao. Hoang Nong Thao Vy, Minh Canh Construction, AE Tu Nghia and MNC are in Group C.
The teams will compete in a round-robin, selecting 2 first and second teams in each group and the 2 best third-placed teams to compete in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.
In the second edition, the tournament has improved the scale and quality of the participating teams and especially increased the total prize money to nearly 200 million VND, in which the prize for the champion will be a trophy and cash of 100 million VND.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Master, Lawyer Vo Dan Mach - Head of the organizing committee shared: "The 2025 Southern Ta Pha Cup 7-a-side championship is an event to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of TAPHALAW - a unit operating in the Law industry.
This is not only a playground for the top 7-a-side football teams in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the South in general, but it is also associated with charity activities, aiming at the community. Through the tournament, the Hanh Trinh Nhan Ai Fund has also been established.
In the 2024 season, the Organizing Committee and the Nhan Ai Tourism Fund also raised more than 200 million VND to buy 140 bicycles, supporting disadvantaged students before the new school year.
Hopefully, the tournament will not only bring exciting matches, but also be a bridge for businesses and the Military Forces to support the Hanh Trinh Nhan Ai Fund, towards charity activities...
Right after the opening ceremony, the Ta Pha Cup 2025 witnessed extremely attractive matches. The strong candidate for the championship An Bien FC, despite being highly appreciated, had to work very hard to get a 3-2 victory over opponent Dai Dong Son FC. Home side Ta Pha FC also won 1-0 against Pima FC.
Most notably is the score chase between MNC and Minh Canh Construction. Despite being led 4-1 by Xanh Minh Canh, the MNC players played resiliently to get a 4-4 draw in the final seconds of the match.
Results of the remaining matches: Thai Binh Gia Bao beat Hong Kong 1-0, Khoi Nguyen won all 3 points after a 2-1 victory over Sunsea FC. Hoang Nong Thao Vy defeated AE Tu Nghia with a score of 1-0.
The 2025 Ta Pha Cup will take place from March 29 to April 13.
