On the afternoon of June 8, at Vinh Stadium, the Organizing Committee of the 27th Nghe An Newspaper and PTTH Children's Football Tournament and grassroots talent classes in 2026 held the opening ceremony of the tournament.
Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Vo Trong Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, along with representatives of departments, branches, related units, teams, parents and a large number of fans.

This year's tournament takes place from June 7 to 14, 2026, marking the return of the traditional school football playground after a year of interruption. This is a meaningful sports activity to develop the youth football movement in Nghe An province.
Originating in 1996 with the name Nghe An Newspaper Teenager - Children's Football Tournament Cup, the tournament has now become a familiar playground for teenagers and children throughout the province.

Through nearly 30 years of organization, the tournament contributes to training the health, solidarity spirit, and will to overcome difficulties for young players, and is also a place to discover and nurture many football talents for their homeland and country.
From this tournament, many players have grown up and played professionally in the national team jersey such as Van Quyen, Cong Vinh, Nhu Thuat, Que Ngoc Hai, Van Duc, Xuan Manh, Dinh Bac, Van Binh...
According to the Organizing Committee, on average, each season has from 25 to 30 young players selected into the youth teams of Song Lam Nghe An Club. In addition, many other children are also discovered and selected by youth football training centers across the country.
This year's tournament gathers 46 teams, including 20 youth teams and 26 children's teams from 32 communes and wards in the province, with nearly 600 athletes participating in the competition. This is a season with a high increase in the number of teams and players compared to previous years, showing the spread of the Nghe youth football movement.
The Organizing Committee expects the tournament to continue to create a useful playground for children during the summer, and at the same time discover more promising faces for Nghe An football in the future.
