On May 19, at the Tay Giang commune sports complex, Da Nang, the Organizing Committee of the Men's and Women's Volleyball Tournament of the 10th Da Nang City Sports Festival 2026 opened the qualifying round for mountainous communes.
The tournament gathers more than 400 athletes from 16 mountainous communes in the city, competing in men's and women's volleyball events. The mountainous cluster qualifying round takes place from May 19 to 23 in Tay Giang commune.
According to the Organizing Committee, the tournament aims to promote the movement of physical training and sports among the people, create a playground for exchange and learning between localities; and at the same time contribute to improving the spiritual and cultural life, building an increasingly developed grassroots sports movement, especially in mountainous areas.
After the qualifying round in Tay Giang commune, the qualifying round matches in the delta area and the final round will continue from May 23 to June 7 at the old Quang Nam Sports and Physical Training Center, Huong Tra ward, Da Nang city.
