Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Mai Xuan Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - emphasized: "This is an opportunity not only to affirm the role of books in social life but also for each person to self-respect their reading habits, thereby spreading the spirit of lifelong learning in the digital age".
Many practical activities are organized such as: seminars, exchanges, book storytelling contests, mobile library cars, building basic bookcases and serving e-books... contributing to building the habit of reading in the community, especially among young people.
The highlight of the program is the 3rd "Cultural Ambassador" contest. The playground evokes books, encourages students to present their thoughts and feel the value of reading. The competition expects to foster the ability to think and create, create "ambassadors" spreading reading culture in school and social life.
Within the framework of the launching ceremony, students visited the book exhibition space, learned about the history of Vietnam Book Day and gave away books to students in remote areas through the Provincial Library.
The organizing committee called on schools and students in the area to actively participate in this year's "Reading Culture Ambassador" Contest, considering this an important part in the journey to nurture knowledge and dreams of future generations.
