In the first match held on the afternoon of March 25, the Vietnam U23 team drew with the DPRK U23 team. Although they took the lead early from the first minutes, coach Dinh Hong Vinh's team had to draw after a 1-1 draw against an opponent who is considered to have a physical foundation and a powerful playing style.

This result helps U23 Vietnam have more important assessments of the force and playing style, thereby continuing to improve for the next matches at the tournament.

Next, coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team will face U23 Thailand at 2:00 PM on March 28. In the last match, U23 Vietnam will face host U23 China at 6:35 PM on March 31.
