The theme of the Binh Ngo Tet Book Street Festival is "Spring gathers - Steadfastly reaching out", associated with the spirit of knowledge, cultural identity and development aspirations of the city. Among them, the mascot "Binh Ngo reaching out" is placed in the large spring scene area of Le Loi Book Street (Saigon ward). The mascot is shaped using 3D technology. The raised posture of the mascot is inspired by the image of Saint Giong Horse, symbolizing the steadfast will and desire to act for the community.
Not only representing the year of Binh Ngo 2026, the mascot also contains many layers of messages towards the spirit of overcoming difficulties, self-reliance and creativity of Ho Chi Minh City. The books are arranged delicately like companions in the journey of breaking through and reaching out. This image evokes the message that knowledge is always the foundation of all progress, especially in a city that is heading towards the future with innovation and integration capacity like Ho Chi Minh City.
The Binh Ngo 2026 Tet Book Street Festival will take place from February 15th to February 22nd (from December 28th to the 6th day of Tet). This is also the first year the festival is held simultaneously at three locations. On Le Loi street, the central space is the spring newspaper exhibition, a new book display area, a large maze of mascots and an author exchange area. At New City Park (Binh Duong ward) and the Revolutionary Tradition House (Vung Tau ward), people can participate in lucky money giving activities, reading digital books, audiobooks, experiencing meaningful book ATMs, or exploring the international book and cultural area.
