The People's Committee of Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City organized the 2025 traditional boat race. The race had the participation of teams from Ngu Hanh Son District, Cam Le District, Hoa Hiep Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District, Hoa Vang District and a boat team from Quang Nam Province.
According to the People's Committee of Lien Chieu district, the traditional boat racing tournament to celebrate the Party - celebrate the Year of the Snake 2025 is organized to preserve and conserve the traditional cultural values of Lien Chieu district in particular and Da Nang city in general.
“The traditional boat racing tournament in Lien Chieu district has been held for nearly 15 years and has become an indispensable spiritual dish every time Tet comes. We, the people of Lien Chieu district, often remember the 9th day of the traditional Lunar New Year to return to the Cu De River to join in the atmosphere of the traditional boat racing festival,” informed Mr. Nguyen Nhuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lien Chieu district.
At the race, the male boat racing team of Hoa Hiep Nam ward won first place with 3 double laps, distance of 3,000m. At the female race, with a distance of 2,000m, the female boat racing team of Hoa Hiep Nam ward, Lien Chieu district won first place with 2 double laps.
Mr. Pham Ngoc An (Hoa Hiep Nam racing boat team) expressed his joy at the victory: "To achieve this result, our racing team had to practice continuously for half a month to prepare for this year's race."
