The play was written by author Vo Tin, directed by Nguyen Thanh Chanh Truc, and artistically consulted by People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau.
The fairy tale story 3: Miss Mui To & Meo Meo Kingdom continues to exploit a fairy tale world full of wits and humanity. Through the journey of the special-looking princess and the funny cat army, the play emphasizes values such as sincerity, friendship, courage and self-confidence.
The play brings together a familiar and beloved cast such as Meritorious Artist Minh Nhi, Binh Tinh, Le Quoc Nam, Chanh Truc, Hoang Meo, Gia Bao, Le Nam, Tan Tre, along with many young artists: Maika, Di Duong, Bao Bao, Vo Minh Khai, Be Bella... contributing to creating a lively and emotional stage space.
The play tells the story of King Thach Cao, a father who suffers because his daughter Thach Anh is seriously ill. In a moment of despair, he listened to Ba Ba Tien's fairy tale, went to the pure gem - the treasure of the Meo Meo Kingdom, to treat the princess.
However, instead of an integrity negotiation, the king listened to the Prime Minister of Gourd, for the thief of the pearl. That action caused the Meo Meo Kingdom to be in the Great Painter: Hoang Meo was arrested, the prince was missing, and the kingdom of chaos.
In anger, Hoang Meo cursed the Cao Cai Palace: "Whoever is lying, their nose will be big". The curse of reality when printess Thach Anh turned 16 years old was also the time when the country was filled with lies.
At the peak, to conceal his guilt, the general ordered the arrest of all people with normal nose. From there, people have to compete to lie to each other, betray each other, just to survive with the nose... the bigger the better.
In the journey to lift the truth, the prince of Meo Meo after the wandering time went to the meteorite kingdom. The quartz princess when knowing the truth about the Ngoc Linh Mieu and the pain of the Meo Meo Kingdom, decided to leave the palace to find the answer.
The play not only brings laughter, vivid scenes and catchy music, but also contains a profound message: "Living sincerely, because only sincerity can resolve misunderstandings, hatred and bring true happiness". Only what comes from the heart can touch the heart.
Through the play, artist Minh Nhi hopes to bring a meaningful summer to children this June.
