On the evening of March 28, the final match of the HDBank Student Futsal Tournament in the Mekong Delta region in 2026 between the Can Tho University team and the Nam Can Tho University team took place at the Sports and Physical Training Center - Can Tho University.
These are two formidable rival teams that met in the group stage match at the opening of this year's season on March 21st and are also the two teams competing for the final of the 2022 Student Futsal Tournament.

With home advantage, sports tradition and enthusiastic cheers from the audience, the Can Tho University Futsal team scored the first goal. However, with youthfulness and explosiveness, bold handling of situations, Nam Can Tho University equalized the score and scored 3 consecutive goals, winning the championship this season with a score of 3-1. The tournament is organized in coordination with Voice of Vietnam Radio, the University and Professional Sports Association of the Mekong Delta, and Can Tho University. There are 16 matches taking place from March 21st to March 28th, 2026 with the participation of 8 football teams from universities and colleges in the Mekong Delta region, divided into two groups to compete in a round-robin format to calculate points for ranking, followed by quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.

This is an activity to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2026) and towards the 60th anniversary of the founding of Can Tho University (March 31, 1966 - March 31, 2026).
