On the morning of March 25, at Tien Son Sports Palace, the Da Nang City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism officially opened the Women's Futsal Football Tournament within the framework of the X City Sports Festival, 2026.
This year's tournament attracted the participation of 252 athletes from 21 units that are communes, wards, and special zones in Da Nang city. This is one of the key activities to practically celebrate the success of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Cong Tu, Director of Da Nang City Sports Center emphasized: "In recent years, the mass sports movement of Da Nang has become increasingly strong, especially women's Futsal football has made positive progress. The tournament is not only an opportunity for athletes to exchange and learn but also contributes to promoting the campaign "All people practice physical exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho", building a dynamic and healthy lifestyle in the community.
According to the Organizing Committee, 21 teams are divided into 7 groups (3 teams in each group). The teams will play in a round-robin format to calculate points to select the 2 first and second teams in each group and 2 third-place teams with the best results to enter the round of 16.
The tournament applies the latest Futsal competition rules issued by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). With a 6-day schedule (from March 25 to March 30), the tournament promises to bring exciting, dramatic and dedicated matches.
Through this tournament, the Organizing Committee hopes to discover and nurture more potential athletes to contribute to the development of women's football in the city in the future.
Regarding the prize structure, in addition to collective titles (First, Second, Third, Consolation and Style Award), the Organizing Committee will vote and award individual prizes including: Best Player and Best Goalkeeper.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the first matches took place amidst the enthusiastic cheers of a large audience. The final match and the closing ceremony are expected to take place at 5 pm on March 30. 3.
