The "real AI war" contest was launched with the aim of discovering and nurturing technological talents, developing Vietnamese AI core technology, promoting the AI ecosystem and contributing to the realization of goals in the "National Digital Transformation" strategy.
The contest will be broadcast on multiple platforms, from television to digital platforms, social networks, creating an attractive and large-scale live- action playground for the technology community across the country.
In particular, the contest format was developed by Vietnamese AI technology experts. The competition platform is a special technology product registered by the Organizing Committee for Brand Protection and Intellectual Property Protection in Vietnam and the United States - Contributing to improving transparency and absolute fairness for candidates.

By creating an in-depth competitive environment, the contest will promote the formation of open source AI platform models for Vietnamese, open data sets, developing high-quality human resources, promoting the formation and development of an innovation ecosystem in the data industry and especially AI enterprises, directly contributing to the strategic goals set by the Party and the Government.
Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha, Head of the Subject - Faculty of Education, Vietnam Television shared: "We not only create an attractive TV show but also create a comprehensive ecosystem where young talents can rub shoulders, breakthrough ideas are nurtured and AI technology is brought closer to life.
This is a strategic partnership between national media agencies, government data management agencies, professional associations and leading technology experts, demonstrating Vietnam's strong commitment to mastering technology and opening up a prosperous digital future".
It is known that the "real-life AI War" contest is designed in a unique format, combining entertainment and technology, and specialized education elements, including 4 main stages: Start & Pre-Kualifying (Online) in August 2025; Final Round (Skille Challenge) in September - October 2025; Semi-final Round (Developing and optimizing Vietnamese AI platform models) in October - November 2025; Final Round ( Gala AI thuc chien) in December - January 2026.
The 3 best teams and 1 team with the highest number of votes will compete live in the Final Gala broadcast live on VTV2 and VTV3.
Major Dao Duc Trieu - General Secretary of the National Data Association said: "Candidates not only compete in technology skills but also directly solve problems from businesses, social reality, are advised by leading AI technology experts in the world and have the opportunity to develop their products through international standard startup incubation programs to help products reach the world.
The organizing committee will also accompany the teams, not only within the framework of the competition but also in the journey to nurture and develop into successful technology startups, contributing to building a high-quality human resource for artificial intelligence in the country".
