With his achievements in founding, building and deploying the BusMap application, Mr. Le Yen Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Phenikaa MaaS Technology Joint Stock Company was honored to receive the "Beautiful Youth" award in 2024 organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union in coordination with TCP Vietnam Company. The award ceremony will take place on October 16 in Hanoi.
Over the years, BusMap has been known as a popular application and highly appreciated by users for its purpose of helping people travel by bus better, such as updating data regularly and accurately, having a friendly and easy-to-use interface, having features to support convenient bus travel... Those "plus points" have helped BusMap attract about 600,000 - 1 million new users each year.
This is a project designed by Le Yen Thanh himself in 2013, when he was still a student at the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Natural Sciences, Ho Chi Minh City. BusMap has successfully raised 1.5 million USD from Phenikaa Group and become the leading startup providing smart transportation solutions in Vietnam.
During the COVID-19 outbreak (2020 - 2021), Phenikaa MaaS cooperated with Public Service Center 1022 to deploy a COVID-19 epidemiological map to help people track the travel history of COVID-19 patients in Da Nang City and 17 provinces and cities nationwide.
Le Yen Thanh has made many contributions in recent years and was voted by Forbes Vietnam and Forbes Asia into the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2022.
In addition to running a startup company with more than 30 employees, Le Yen Thanh is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Information Technology Association, a member of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Entrepreneurs Association, contributing to the movement of developing startups and information technology in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and Vietnam in general.
Becoming one of 20 young people receiving the "Beautiful Youth" award is a motivation for Le Yen Thanh to try and make efforts to contribute more good technology products in the future.
