The Science and Technology Competition and the STEM Festival for high school students in Ninh Binh province are held from January 6-9 at Hoa Lu University with the scale of each commune/ward selecting 1 project to participate in the competition (in particular, Nam Dinh, Hoa Lu, Phu Ly wards can choose a maximum of 3 projects/ward to participate in the competition).
Each public high school selects 1 project to participate in the competition (specifically high schools that have participated in national-level competitions in previous school years can select a maximum of 2 projects/unit to participate in the competition). The Organizing Committee encourages non-public schools to participate in the competition with a quantity of 1 project/unit.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung - Director of Ninh Binh Department of Education and Training - said that STEM education and scientific research activities in schools have become an urgent requirement in the implementation of the 2018 General Education Program to develop learners' qualities and abilities, especially creative capacity, scientific thinking and the ability to apply knowledge to practice.
The Science and Technology Contest and STEM Day is an annual professional activity, a meaningful journey to discover, nurture and honor creative ideas and young talents in the field of science and technology" - Mr. Dung emphasized.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year's competition has 238 science and technology projects and 225 STEM projects, coming from communes, wards and secondary and high schools in Ninh Binh province.
The participating projects are diverse and spread across many fields such as: artificial intelligence, immersion systems, smart robots, biomedicine, environment, high-tech agriculture, social sciences and behavior... The content of the projects vividly reflects the spirit of innovation, creativity and the ability to apply knowledge to solve practical problems of students.
To ensure the professionalism, professional quality as well as fairness and objectivity of the contest, Ninh Binh Department of Education and Training has invited experienced lecturers and scientists from prestigious universities and academies to participate in the Judging Panel.
