According to the production team, the film Chien Nam: Ba Sau Ra Bo is the result of a development journey that lasted nearly 10 years, from the first script version in 2016 until it was comprehensively restructured in terms of content, form and cinematic thinking. The name "Ve sai thoat than" has a double meaning, both as a crime method in the film and symbolizing the "rebirth" process of the project itself after many adjustments.
The film revolves around the character Chien Nam, a police officer built with the image of courage, resilience, and readiness to commit in the fight against organized crime. The character represents the image of a right-ading soldier, facing increasingly sophisticated and complex underground forces.
One of the highlights of the work is the first introduction of the concept of Masiness (a combination of Mafia and Business) a shady criminal model of legal business. In the film, the Thai Minh Legend fictional real estate group is the embodiment of power transformation, where illegal transactions are covered with a flashy appearance. The work also reflects the trick of taking advantage of fake spiritual elements to manipulate psychology and profit from people's fear.
In addition to the psychological - criminal factor, the film Chien Nam: Sur escape the Bodies attracts attention with live martial arts action scenes. The film first filmed the Votado (Wou Dao Phap) genre, collaborating with Muay Thai, focusing on realistic combat scenes, limiting the use of special effects. Notably, there is a confrontation between the character Chien Nam played by Longka and the gray fox played by boxer Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat.
The project brings together a cast including Truong Minh Cuong, Nhi Katy, Hua Minh Dat, Quach Ngoc Tuyen, Hoang Meo, Huynh Phuong, Vinh Rau... The film is co-directed by Tran Thanh Da and Tran Hoa Binh, with Dang Bao Tran as production director.
The film is expected to be released in early 2026.
