Monash University and Ho Chi Minh City inaugurate the Research and Training Cooperation Center

Monash University and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction inaugurated the Research and Training Cooperation Center to promote sustainable urban development and innovation in the field of smart cities.

The inauguration ceremony was held at the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Traffic Management and Operation Center. Here, the signing ceremony of the Research Cooperation Plan was also held, aiming to implement research, education and training programs through this Center.

Mr. Tran Quang Lam, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, shared: It is an honor to have the opportunity to cooperate with Monash University in this strategic initiative. This Linkage Center is a testament to the city's sustainable development goals, as well as our commitment to applying advanced technology to solve urban challenges. We welcome the opportunity to cooperate with international partners to build the advancement and livelihood of the urban area,...".

Professor Yiannis Ventikis, Head of the Faculty of Engineering at Monash University, shared: By combining Monash University's strengths in the field of transportation, digital technology with the orientation of focusing on innovation in Ho Chi Minh City's urban planning plan, we are working together to build smart and practical solutions to meet the city's continuous development needs. This marks a turning point from aspiration to action, contributing to the development of practical solutions to respond to the challenges of urban challenges in Vietnam and Australia.
