Dong Thap ranks 2nd in the Southern region in high school graduation exam scores

Dong Thap - In the 2026 high school graduation exam, the province ranked 2nd in the Southern region and 12th in the country in terms of exam scores and had 98 exam papers with perfect scores.

On July 1st, along with the whole country, more than 37,000 candidates in Dong Thap province officially knew the results of the 2026 high school graduation exam.

According to statistics, the average score of all subjects in Dong Thap reached 5.82 points, ranking 2nd in the Southern region and 12th nationwide. Although lower than the national average (5.89 points), many subjects in the province have results exceeding the general level.

In which, Literature achieved an average score of 6.77, higher than the national average of 6.50 points. History achieved 6.22 points, slightly higher than the national average of 6.19 points. Notably, Agricultural Technology achieved 7.11 points, higher than the national average of 6.95 points.

In the remaining subjects, the average scores are respectively: Math 5.41; Physics 5.25; Chemistry 6.05; Biology 5.56; Geography 5.23; Economic and Legal Education 5.19; Informatics 6.15; Industrial Technology 6.29 and Foreign Languages 4.59.

This year's exam, the whole province had 98 exam papers achieving a score of 10. Among them, History led with 55 exam papers achieving perfect scores, followed by Mathematics with 26 papers, Chemistry 7 papers, Biology 4 papers and Industrial Technology 2 papers. Physics, Geography, Agricultural Technology and Foreign Language each had 1 exam paper achieving a score of 10. Separately, Literature, Economic and Legal Education and Informatics did not have exam papers achieving perfect scores.

Dong Thap also recorded many candidates achieving outstanding results in the 4-subject combination. The two candidates with the highest total scores in the province are Le Nguyen Gia Phuc (Lap Vo 2 High School) and Lam Phuc Thinh (Vinh Binh High School), both achieving 37.25 points. Gia Phuc achieved scores of Math 9.5; Literature 8; Chemistry 9.75 and Biology 10. Meanwhile, Phuc Thinh achieved Math 9.5; Literature 9; Physics 9.5 and Chemistry 9.25.

The two candidates who achieved 37 points are Nguyen Nhut Nam (Nguyen Quang Dieu High School for the Gifted) and Do Thanh Vinh (Cho Gao High School). Nhut Nam achieved perfect scores in Mathematics, along with Literature 9; Informatics 9.5 and English 8.5. Thanh Vinh achieved Math 9.5; Literature 9.25; Chemistry 9.75 and Biology 8.5. In particular, Nguyen Ngoc Tran (Pham Thanh Trung High School) is the only candidate in the province to achieve two perfect scores of 10 at the same time in Mathematics and Chemistry. With Literature 7 points and Physics 9.75 points, he achieved a total score of 36.75.
