On May 14, 2026, Thang Long University organized the Opening Ceremony of AI Lab at Hoa Lac National Innovation Center, and at the same time launched a practical experience tour program for 80 students of the Faculty of Information Technology.
The event was attended by Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung, Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Tam, leaders of the National Innovation Center (NIC) and representatives of domestic and international technology businesses, leaders of Thang Long University and delegates, partners and related guests.
Placing AI Lab right in the campus of Hoa Lac NIC allows Thang Long University to access and participate more deeply in the dynamic innovation ecosystem here - a place that gathers the presence of leading technology corporations in the world such as NVIDIA, Meta, Google... This is an important foundation for the school to gradually improve the quality of human resource training to approach international standards.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Truong Nhat Hoa - Rector of Thang Long University affirmed that the school's goal is that students must learn and work on real business problems.
All research and practice here aim to create practical products, thereby providing AI human resources with combat capabilities, meeting the current technology market" - Dr. Truong Nhat Hoa said.
AI Lab is located on the 2nd floor, NIC Hoa Lac. This space is oriented to serve many goals at the same time such as organizing practical modules, deploying technology experience activities, connecting experts - businesses - students, supporting the development of applied research ideas and creating a highly interactive learning environment for learners.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Vo Xuan Hoai - Deputy Director of the National Innovation Center said that AI Lab will play a practical bridge between higher education, applied research and the practical needs of the market to develop high-quality artificial intelligence human resources.
Within the framework of the program, 80 students of the Faculty of Information Technology, Thang Long University participated in a tour to experience at NIC Hoa Lac.
Notably, students can directly experience the VR Workshop area, explore virtual reality applications under the guidance of experts from Onion - a unit providing simulation and virtual reality equipment for the Vietnamese market, providing in-depth technology consulting and digital transformation solutions, etc.
Representing students participating in the program, Le Thi Quynh Nhu, student K37 of Information Technology major, hopes to directly learn how artificial intelligence models are trained and applied in practice, thereby helping her broaden her thinking about algorithms and data processing.
