On August 28, 2026, with the companionship of the Schneider Electric Foundation and Schneider Electric Vietnam, Kenan Foundation Asia in coordination with the Bac Ninh Department of Education and Training organized the Summary Ceremony of the Project "For a Green Planet and AI Education - Creating the Future" phase 2024-2026 and a seminar on Green Development in Vocational Education.
After two years of implementation, the project has trained 112 lecturers, supported 16 vocational schools to integrate content on renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable development into the training program, and at the same time introduced project-based learning methods to 10,560 students, contributing to equipping professional knowledge, critical thinking, creativity, cooperation skills and problem-solving. Within the framework of the project, 2 Green Energy Camps were organized, attracting more than 400 lecturers and students to participate.
Mr. Doan Xuan Thanh, Deputy Director of Bac Ninh Department of Education and Training, assessed that the "For a Green Planet and AI Education - Creating the Future" Project not only brings new content on environmental protection, energy saving, efficiency and application of artificial intelligence, but also contributes to innovating teaching methods, improving the quality of the teaching staff and creating conditions for students to develop creative thinking, problem-solving skills and teamwork skills.
The practical activities of the Project have contributed to helping vocational education institutions in Bac Ninh province gradually bring contents on sustainable development, environmental protection, economical and efficient energy use and technology application into training activities, thereby expanding learning and experience opportunities for students, contributing to improving the quality of human resource training, meeting the socio-economic development requirements of the province" - Mr. Thanh expressed.
Mr. Richard Bernhard, Chief Representative of Kenan Foundation Asia in Vietnam, said that in the past two years, the unit has witnessed how the project-based learning method and green skills are transformed from theory into meaningful practical activities in classes at 16 vocational education institutions. This journey has contributed to improving the capacity of the teaching staff, encouraging students to think creatively and actively develop their own solutions, and promoting cooperation between educational institutions participating in the Project.
