New students eagerly await the enrollment day
On August 28, Hanoi National University of Education organized enrollment for new students for the 2026 - 2027 academic year.
Successfully admitted to the Literature Pedagogy major, Thai Thi Kim Anh (Thai Binh), and her mother were present at Hanoi National University of Education from about 6:30 am on the enrollment day this morning. The female student sets a goal that in 4 years of university, she will actively participate in major school competitions, strive to win scholarships and after graduation have a stable job at a school.
Accompanying her daughter on the day of enrollment, Ms. Le Thi Phuong - Kim Anh's mother - said that the family was very excited about the results her daughter achieved.
Kim Anh used to study at a normal school and did not go to extra classes anywhere. Therefore, the fact that her daughter achieved good results and was admitted to Hanoi National University of Education makes the family happy" - Ms. Phuong said and hoped that in the next journey, her daughter will continue to strive to study and strive for a better future.
Ha Le Bao Long, from Trieu Son, Thanh Hoa, was admitted to the Sociology major. On the first day of school, Long went with his mother and younger brother who was in 9th grade with the hope of creating more motivation so that his younger brother could also study here later.
Long shared that he chose Hanoi National University of Education because of the good quality of training, and at the same time pursued this major because this is his dream. After completing the university program, Long plans to continue studying for a master's degree with the goal of becoming a lecturer in Sociology.
On the day of enrollment, Long encountered some difficulties because he forgot to bring the original report card. However, he was supported by the teachers and signed a commitment, after which he would add the report card to the civic activity session. Although the Sociology major is not eligible for tuition fee support, Long said he is still determined to choose because this is the first wish. Long assesses the benchmark score of the major at an average level, not too high compared to some other majors.
Entering 4 years of university, Long set a goal to study really well, train and integrate with friends. Faced with the increasing demands of the labor market, the male student plans to equip himself with more skills, learn from teachers, lecturers and friends to improve his understanding and ability. Long also plans to learn more English during his university studies.
High input is a prerequisite, does not determine output
In 2026, the Mathematics Pedagogy major (teaching Mathematics in English) has the highest benchmark score at the University of Pedagogy, reaching 29 points. The Chemistry Pedagogy major ranks right behind with a benchmark score of 28.99.
Many majors of Hanoi National University of Education have benchmark scores above 28 such as: Mathematics Pedagogy, Primary Education, Physics Pedagogy, Chemistry Pedagogy, Biology Pedagogy, History Pedagogy, Geography Pedagogy.
Dr. Tran Ba Trinh - Head of the Training Department, Hanoi National University of Education - said that high entrance scores are an important premise, but it does not mean that high entrance scores mean good graduate scores.
High input reflects an outstanding learning ability, but the training process will transform learning ability into professional competence. Especially the qualities of teachers and the commitment of future teachers to their profession," said Dr. Tran Ba Trinh.
According to Dr. Tran Ba Trinh, receiving students with high entrance scores is both a source of pride and creates pressure on the school in the face of the trust and expectations of candidates, families and society.
He said that teacher training institutions, including Hanoi National University of Education, are increasingly innovating programs as well as the conditions for implementing the program. The goal is to make students with high entrance scores after 3 years, 3 and a half years or 4 years of study truly become teachers with outstanding professional competence, love and especially commitment to the profession, thereby being able to contribute well to the education sector after graduation.
After enrollment, from September 3-9, new students of Hanoi National University of Education will participate in the student week at the beginning of the year and attend the opening ceremony on September 5.
