On June 6, 2025, Hanoi University of Science and Technology held a Conference to summarize students in scientific research for the 2024 - 2025 school year, and held an Olympic - Startup student awards ceremony and a Launching Ceremony of the 2025 State-of-the-art Young Students Competition.
This is an annual activity to honor students' outstanding achievements in scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurship, while arousing the academic spirit and passion for creativity in the University of Science and Technology student community.
According to statistics from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the total number of students participating in the research in the 2020 - 2024 period is 5,889. In 2024 - 2025 alone, there will be 1,545 students, an increase of 10.5% compared to last year.
Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Quyet Thang - Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology - said that the school's students have made constant efforts, tirelessly researched and demonstrated their mettle through diverse research topics, from enhanced reality technology, weaving from banana fiber, to smart energy solutions and cybersecurity, many medal achievements in student Olympic competitions.
These achievements contribute to affirming the school's position on the international academic map.
The Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology acknowledged and commended the students' creativity, the spirit of overcoming difficulties and the desire to conquer knowledge, and expressed his hope: "You continue to maintain that enthusiasm, with a cold head, choose projects that come from practice, have high applicableity, and bring benefits to society. The Young Creative Competition launched today is not only an intellectual playground, but also a place to nurture ideas and technological solutions with social impact and high economic value".
At the Conference on summarizing students in scientific research, Hanoi University of Science and Technology honored outstanding scientific research topics for the 2024 - 2025 school year by students, with the guidance of leading lecturers and researchers.
The projects demonstrate high concern, solving practical problems in fields such as information technology, electrical - electronics engineering, mechanics, environment, energy, medicine, etc.

In particular, the 2025 World Science Young Creative Competition was officially launched. This will be a vibrant and inspiring playground for students in the whole school to express new ideas, technical initiatives and innovative solutions, contributing to the formation of a generation of young engineers who are brave, creative and capable of starting a business.
Oriented by practical application, the topics attending this year's conference are encouraged to focus on solving specific problems in life and production such as: Environment, energy, healthcare, smart cities, educational technology, digital transformation, etc.
