ACCA and the University of London (UK) launch a new cooperation program, opening up opportunities for students to get a Bachelor's degree when studying for the ACCA professional accounting certificate.

The Honors Bachelor of Professional Accounting program integrates between university studies and a global accounting certificate, allowing students to achieve both an academic degree and a professional certificate in the same roadmap.

ACCA ( Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and the University of London have just announced a cooperation program for the Certificate of Merit in Professional Accounting (BSc (Hons) Professional Accountancy).

This is a groundbreaking program, integrating ACCA Certificate learning and Bachelor's program from the University of London into a unified learning roadmap. This means that students can simultaneously achieve academic degrees and certificates of practice on the path to becoming a member of one of the world's leading accounting institutions - ACCA, with more than 250,000 members in 180 countries.

The Honors Bachelor of Professional Accounting program is designed in line with students' ACCA learning journey, while creating a clear roadmap for ACCA students who wish to own a bachelor's degree. ACCA students can register to participate in the program from December 2025.

Similar to the ACCA Certificate, students can flexibly study the Certificate of Merit in Professional Accounting program completely online, anywhere in the world. In addition, students can also choose to study online with support or study in person at the University of London's standard Training Centers.

Mr. Alan Hatfield, Executive Director - content, Quality and Innovation of ACCA, shared: The choice between an academic degree and a professional certificate is a big concern for many students and trainees. This new route offers a great launching pad for those who want to conquer both goals at the same time.

The University of London is a prestigious university, with global reputation and value similar to ACCA. This initiative has greatly contributed to our efforts in expanding operations and increasing opportunities in the accounting - finance industry. At the same time, it narrows the existing accounting and financial skills gap between countries.

Dr. Sky Zheng, Executive Director of Global - University of London, said: We are always committed to innovating the quality, accessible distance education approach for global students. We design courses that allow students to choose the most suitable learning experience for their personal needs - whether following an academic or career orientation.

The new BSc program, in collaboration with ACCA, will give students the opportunity to achieve both degrees at the same time, thereby enhancing global career prospects in the field of accounting. We hope to contribute to training the next generation of accounting experts - those who will meet the constantly changing requirements of the market worldwide.

The Honors Bachelor of Professional Accounting program is a continuation of the long-standing cooperative relationship between ACCA and the University of London, in which future ACCA members and associate members can study the Master of Professional Accounting program (MSc in Professional Accountancy) at the University of London.
