On June 15, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology - HUET University (HUET) announced that it had just held a graduation ceremony for 66 new engineers and 5 new masters, marking an important milestone in the journey to train high-quality human resources in the field of engineering and technology for the Central region and the whole country.
This is the first generation of students to graduate from HUET after 5 years of studying. New graduates in majors with great human resource needs such as Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, Control & Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Construction Engineering.
10% of students graduated with honors, 45% with good grades; many students have been sought after by large domestic and foreign enterprises since they were still in their third year. Notably, some new engineers in the Data Science and AI industry have been admitted to the graduate program in Japan, Taiwan (China)
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Bui Van Loi - Deputy Director of Hue University affirmed that HUET is aiming to become a modern Technology school, training human resources according to international standards, meeting the increasing demand of the global labor market.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lich - Head of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology - was moved to share HUET's journey since 2020, at the time of the COVID-19 outbreak. He expressed his deep gratitude to parents and emphasized: "The first 70 new engineers will forever be the founding generation, laying the foundation for a dynamic, creative HUET, with the aspiration to serve society."
New engineer Nguyen Cuu Suu ( steering & automation Engineering) expressed his gratitude to the teachers on behalf of his graduates: HUET has given me a journey that not only requires learning but also arouses the desire to innovate and contribute.
On this occasion, HUET launched a network of alumni to connect, share career opportunities and mobilize resources for development. The school also awarded 10 scholarships worth 50 million VND from the HUET Talent Encouragement Fund to students with excellent achievements in studying and training.
