Dak Lak - A 1st grade student in the area had to be hospitalized for eye treatment after being injured while playing at school.

On February 8th, Le Thanh Ton Primary and Secondary School (Hoa Xuan commune, Dak Lak province) said that the school had sent a report to the Commune People's Committee and parents regarding the incident of a 1st grade student of the school being injured in the eye area.

According to information from the school, on the afternoon of February 4th, T.V. T (1st grade student) came to school to study normally, and no unusual signs were detected. However, at about 8 pm on the same day, T's mother called her homeroom teacher to inform her that she was injured in one eye, suspected of being beaten by a classmate.

Immediately after that, the school conducted an inspection of the camera system in the classroom and schoolyard area but has not recorded images showing the incident.

To clarify the cause, the teacher directly exchanged with some students in the class and received feedback that during recess, T and another male student in the class were joking with each other. During that process, T fell, leading to an eye injury.

After the incident, T was taken to Phu Yen General Hospital for treatment. Due to corneal damage, with the risk of seriously affecting the vision of one eye, she had to be transferred to Ho Chi Minh City to continue treatment.

Ms. H (T's mother) said: "My son was poked in the eye by a classmate, causing serious injuries. Currently, I am taking him to a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City for treatment. The family situation is very difficult, I don't know what to do to save my son.

Currently, the Commune People's Committee and the school are continuing to clarify the case to have a satisfactory solution.
