On January 20, the Vocational Education Center (Hanoi City Association of the Blind) organized the opening ceremony of the training course "Affiliate & AI Virtual Assistant for the Blind".
The course is specially designed, stemming from the reality of using smartphone for the visually impaired through screen readers such as TalkBack, VoiceOver. Not just a vocational training program, the course opens up new expectations in 2026, when technology becomes a "guide stick" to help visually impaired people in the Capital gradually participate and master the digital economy with their own abilities.
Unlike traditional office informatics classes, this program focuses strongly on practicality. The specific goal is to guide students to use voice AI to build affiliate marketing channels on platforms such as TikTok, Shopee, thereby creating passive income, reducing dependence on travel and the support of visually impaired people.
According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Thai - Deputy Director of the Vocational Education Center (Hanoi Association of the Blind), applying high technology is the Center's strategic direction in 2026. "We not only teach vocational skills but also aim to help visually impaired people increase their income, improve access to information and live independently through AI virtual assistants," Mr. Thai said.
Sharing at the opening ceremony, TikTok Affiliate and digital transformation training expert Pham Thi Thu Huong emphasized: AI cannot replace the eyes, but it can help visually impaired people "listen more clearly, think more correctly and master life better".
The curriculum consists of 6 sessions, specifically compiled for visually impaired people according to the motto "do it - do it real". Students will be guided to use AI virtual assistants to build content scripts, livestream sales, answer comments, and advise on products entirely by voice.
According to Ms. Pham Thi Thu Huong, the course not only gives tools to make money but also gives capacity and belief. “Disabled people can completely become content creators, professional salespeople in digital space,” Ms. Huong affirmed.
The AI & Affiliate course is the starting step in the comprehensive training plan for 2026 of the Vocational Education Center. According to the plan, the Center will continue to maintain core occupations such as basic and advanced massage, office informatics; and at the same time add many new contents to catch up with the digital society trend.
Besides classes to improve massage skills such as stretching resistance muscles, joint therapy, major highlights are soft and high-tech skills courses such as starting a business, applying AI in Association work, producing media podcasts, designing photos and videos for blurry viewing members, and using Zalo PC in operation.
Notably, the class "Orientation of movement and application of technology in traffic participation" is expected to be held in October 2026 and is considered an important survival skill, helping visually impaired people feel more confident in the process of community integration.
According to Mr. Hoang Manh Cuong - Vice Chairman in charge of the Hanoi City Association of the Blind, the integration of high-tech training with traditional professions shows the Association's long-term vision: not only stopping at the goal of "eradication of hunger and poverty reduction" but aiming to "enrich" knowledge, skills and social values for the visually impaired.
The digital communication program "Overcoming Barriers - Raising the Voice of the Visually Impaired", expected to be launched in April 2026, is also expected to be an important step to affirm the role and position of the visually impaired community in the digital society.
