On December 6, Van Hien University, together with domestic and foreign partners such as the World Fisheries Center (World Fish), schools in the Council of Rectors of the Life Sciences and Environment sector, organized an international scientific conference with the theme "Aquatic foods in the transformation of low-emission food systems in Vietnam: Opportunities, challenges and future paths".
The workshop was attended by scientists, experts, businesses and relevant organizations to promote cooperation in the field of fisheries, develop low-emission solutions and protect the environment.
The workshop aims to assess the potential and opportunities of the aquaculture sector in the low-emission food system in Vietnam, including some economic development areas such as tourism, rural areas, etc.

Discusses key challenges facing the fisheries, tourism and rural economy, from climate change to the use of natural resources and the need for sustainable production processes.
Propose solutions, initiatives and roadmaps to build a more sustainable seafood industry, an environmentally friendly economic development model that both meets domestic demand and contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The main contents discussed at the workshop were knowledge exchange on Vietnam's seafood industry in the context of climate change from research, community and policy perspectives.

The conference received more than 40 papers from universities and research institutes at home and abroad.
