On November 26, Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee issued an official dispatch on strengthening the direction of aquaculture production in the last months of the year, ensuring the growth plan.
Accordingly, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is required to continue to monitor, care for, and protect the aquatic species currently being farmed; based on hydrological conditions and water quality, continue to stock new fish in harvested ponds and cages to maintain stable aquaculture development in the province.

Continue to effectively monitor water source environment and disease surveillance in concentrated aquaculture areas in the province to promptly warn and advise farmers to apply technical measures to minimize damage caused by environmental incidents and disease outbreaks.
Encourage and guide seed production and commercial farming facilities to synchronously implement technical solutions to reduce production costs, improve economic efficiency, protect the environment, ensure stable maintenance of aquatic food sources for consumption and supply of raw materials for the last months of the year and the beginning of the following year.
The Provincial People's Committee also directed the Department of Industry and Trade to strengthen connections and links to support the consumption of aquatic products in the province; encourage enterprises, cooperatives, and aquatic association to continue investing and developing aquatic products with added value to promote domestic consumption and expand export markets.
For the District and City People's Committees, monitor and update the situation of aquaculture production, strictly manage food safety for aquaculture facilities, and replicate good and effective models in aquaculture in the area.
