To celebrate the 101st anniversary of Ba Son Traditional Day (August 4, 1925 - August 4, 2026) and the 138th birthday of Chairman Ton Duc Thang (August 20, 1888 - August 20, 2026), on August 1, Ba Son Corporation organized a Conference to commend typical families and award Ton Duc Thang scholarships for the 35th time.
Also attending the program was Mr. Pham Thanh Nam - Director of Ton Duc Thang Museum.
According to reports, in the 2025 - 2026 school year, the movement to raise good and excellent children at Ba Son Corporation continued to achieve many positive results. More than 95% of students achieved advanced titles or higher; over 50% achieved excellent and excellent student titles; 100% of students had good conduct. Many students won prizes at national, provincial and city-level exams in cultural and aptitude subjects.
At the program, Ba Son Corporation commended 20 typical families and awarded Ton Duc Thang Scholarships to 365 students with good achievements in study and training in the 2025-2026 school year.
Colonel Nguyen Quang Vinh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy General Director of the Corporation emphasized that Ba Son is a red address of the Vietnamese working class, where President Ton Duc Thang used to work as a worker and participate in revolutionary activities; and is also one of the cradles of the workers' movement and the Secret Trade Union - the predecessor of the Vietnam Trade Union organization.
According to Colonel Nguyen Quang Vinh, the awarding of scholarships named after Chairman Ton Duc Thang is not only a recognition and encouragement for students with high achievements, but also contributes to educating tradition, fostering the spirit of studiousness, will to overcome difficulties and pride for generations of children in Ba Son Corporation.
Students need to continue to promote the achieved results, constantly cultivate morality, study diligently, nurture dreams and aspirations to contribute; follow in the footsteps of President Ho Chi Minh, President Ton Duc Thang to become useful citizens for their families and society" - Colonel Nguyen Quang Vinh advised.
Leaders of Ba Son Corporation also praised the families of officials and employees who overcame difficulties, both completing their tasks well at the unit and caring for and coordinating with the school to educate their children to achieve many achievements in studying and training.
