Promoting disbursement of public investment capital in 2026
The Chairman of the City People's Committee has issued Official Dispatch No. 1634/UBND-XDĐT on directing the implementation of key tasks and solutions to promote the disbursement of public investment capital.
This document emphasizes the goal of striving for disbursement in the first quarter of 2026 to reach 20%, the second quarter to reach 50%, the third quarter to reach 75% and by December 31, 2026 to reach 100% of the capital plan assigned by the Prime Minister.
Improving the efficiency of management of weapons, explosives and conditional business
In order to ensure security and order in the area, the Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee issued Directive No. 09/CT-UBND dated April 3, 2026 on improving the efficiency of state management of weapons, explosives, supporting tools and firecrackers; conditional business activities on security and order.

Developing electric vehicle charging station infrastructure in apartment buildings
Implementing Official Dispatch No. 27/CD-TTg dated March 31, 2026 of the Prime Minister, the Office of Can Tho City People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 3822/VPUB-XDĐT dated April 6, 2026, conveying the opinion of Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Van Hoa assigning the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade and the City Power Company to urgently review plans and requirements for arranging electricity charging infrastructure for the transportation system in urban areas and construction sites.
The document also requests the investor and the Apartment Building Management Board to closely coordinate with the supplier to arrange safe installation locations for fire and explosion prevention and convenience for residents' lives.
Strictly control fishing vessels and labor at sea
To limit the situation of crew members missing or leaving ships while operating, the Office of Can Tho City People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 3635/VPUB-KT dated April 2, 2026, conveying the opinion of Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Tran Chi Hung directing the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with the Border Guard Command to strengthen port entry and exit inspections, closely monitor the list of crew members and closely coordinate with the Coast Guard force to verify cases related to labor on fishing vessels.
Proactively prevent and control infectious diseases and polio
In preventive medicine work, the Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee issued 2 key guiding documents, which are requesting to strengthen the prevention and control of epidemics such as dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease; strengthen the prevention and control of polio, and protect community health.
Rectifying the management of construction order and urban environmental sanitation
Faced with inadequacies in illegal construction, stagnant waste and cable network systems that are unsightly, the Chairman of the City People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 1676/UBND-XDĐT dated April 6, 2026, assigning the Director of the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and the Department of Industry and Trade to urgently advise and draft a document directing the comprehensive rectification of construction order management, urban embellishment and environmental sanitation in April 2026.
