The Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance Agency has just issued a warning about continuing to forge social insurance to defraud and appropriate people's assets.
Accordingly, recently, Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance has recorded many cases of subjects taking advantage of the form of forging documents, invitations, seals and signatures of leaders of social insurance agencies to commit fraud, appropriating personal information and property of people.
Notably, some fake documents are sophisticatedly designed, using letters, layouts and red seals similar to the real administrative document model of the Social Insurance agency, making people easily confused.
Recently, there have been continued to appear "Invitation" with red seal and fake signature of the leader of the social insurance agency. The document stated that "Decree 146, 188-2025" and invited the social insurance agency to "request support for health insurance contribution levels and 50% refund for medical examination and treatment costs affected by storm YAGI" or Health Insurance Support Details from the Health Insurance Law applied to social insurance participants provided by the health insurance agency. In particular, the "Invitation" requires people to bring their chip-embedded ID cards, health insurance records, smartphones and provide a " heading code of the Ministry of Health's Information Portal", a clear sign of illegal personal data collection.
According to Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance, in the past, subjects often used to use phones to impersonate social insurance experts, but now they have blatantly used fake documents to create prestige to easily commit fraud. Forging documents with seals and signatures makes many people lose their vigilance, thereby easily being manipulated and scammed.
Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance also affirmed that the Social Insurance agency does not issue any "Invitation" in the above form and does not require people to provide personal information via phone number.
Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance recommends that people should pay attention when receiving a document with the name and stamp of the social insurance company, carefully check administrative information, legal basis, and compare with the official website of Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance to check the accuracy of the document.
At the same time, when people have any doubts about the authenticity of the document, they need to contact the Social Insurance of their place of residence directly or the hotline 1900.9068 for verification. People absolutely do not provide personal data, accounts or transfer money to any individual or organization of unknown origin or impersonating social insurance.
