In order to organize the launching ceremony of "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" practically and effectively; at the same time, to strengthen the management, protection and development of forests in the province, contributing to socio-economic development, adapting to climate change, and mitigating natural disasters, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province requested the People's Committees of all units to develop a plan to simultaneously organize the launching ceremony of "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" in the Spring of At Ty in the area on January 16, At Ty year (ie February 13, 2025).
It clearly identifies the location for planting trees, the list of tree species suitable for each location, prepares sufficient quantity and variety of trees, and sources of tree supply. Departments, branches, agencies, and units select locations and forms of response to launch appropriately to create a widespread tree planting movement throughout the province.
Regarding forest management, protection and development, the Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee requested the People's Committees of Chi Linh City and Kinh Mon Town (Hai Duong Province) to step up propaganda and education to raise awareness of all classes of people about the role, effects and value of forests, the significance of planting trees, afforestation, forest protection, forest fire prevention and fighting, protection of the ecological environment, implementation of forestry laws, contributing to mitigating natural disasters and adapting to climate change.
Directing functional agencies and local authorities at the commune level with forests to strengthen inspection and strictly manage forest areas and forestry land in the area; promptly grasp, prevent and handle right from the grassroots level the situation of forest fires, illegal logging, exploitation and encroachment of forest land; closely monitor the conversion of forest use to other purposes, especially the conversion of natural forest use; and thoroughly resolve local forest land disputes so that they cannot be prolonged.
Resolutely and strictly handle violations according to the provisions of the law. Direct the police, military and forest rangers to strengthen coordination and take the initiative in forest fire prevention and fighting.
