The Women's Union of Duc An commune has just coordinated and organized the awarding of funding for the "Sisters" Program in the third quarter of 2025 to 7 children in especially difficult circumstances in the area.
The total amount of money and gifts in this period is 5,600,000 VND, voluntarily contributed by cadres, women's union members - responsible and loving " stepmothers".
The students supported include: Le Phong Thao, Nguyen Vu Dang Khoi, Dao Uy Vu; Tran Huu Canh; Nguyen Thi An Nhien; Nguyen Khanh Ly, Nguyen Quang Khanh.
The gifts and support are not only material but also show the affection and sharing of "sponsoring mothers" - members who are always dedicated to taking care of local women and children.
Through each gift, the "brothers" have been contributing to compensating for the lack of affection, giving the will to live to the children in disadvantaged circumstances.
Ms. Do Thi Hoa - Head of the Women's Association of Residential Group 4 - shared: "Every situation makes us feel heartbroken. As mothers and sisters, we hope to accompany and support our grandchildren like our own children, so that they do not feel alone, but still have loving arms to protect them".
The joy and emotion were evident on the faces of the children's relatives during the gift-giving ceremony. Nguyen Khanh Ly's grandmother choked up: "My mother passed away early, I'm old, raising the children is very difficult. Fortunately, the Women's Union cared for and helped. Seeing the children being encouraged, I feel very warm".
According to the Women's Union of Duc An commune, the "Gods mother" program has become a valuable spiritual support for disadvantaged children in the commune.
Each gift is a seed of love sown, nurtured by the care and sharing of the community.
This activity continues to affirm the role of the Women's Union in caring for and protecting children - especially disadvantaged children - contributing to building a humane society, leaving no one behind.
