On November 11, Can Tho City Police organized a "Conference to meet and connect KOLs, administrators of pages, channels, associations, and groups of Can Tho City - Spread digital trust, build a safe and healthy online environment".

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Nguyen Van Thang - Deputy Director of Can Tho City Police - said that the conference is an activity of profound political and social significance, demonstrating the determination of the city police force in ensuring security and order in cyberspace.

Colonel Nguyen Van Thang emphasized that this is an opportunity to strengthen connection, sharing and companionship between influential people, administrators of social networking sites, channels and groups in Can Tho city with each other and with the police force.
Mr. Le Minh Tuan - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City - informed that there are currently about 3 million social media users in the locality, of which the influencer force accounts for a significant proportion and strongly affects the behavioral and awareness trends of the community.

According to Mr. Le Minh Tuan, it is worth mentioning that they not only create content, but also become a soft bridge to spread the image of Can Tho, which is affectionate, friendly, gentle, promoting unique cultural values, traditions, indigenous products and the image of the people of the Mekong Delta to the domestic and foreign communities.
In addition to the positive aspects, Mr. Le Minh Tuan said that in the past, there were still some difficulties and limitations. First of all, the risk of information fraud always exists, many KOLs do not have a deep professional background in sensitive areas such as politics, healthcare, culture, science, law, ... so in the process of interpretation, excessive simplification or lack of verification distorts information, which can unintentionally turn them into channels to spread untrue information.
Disguised, untrue, and offensive advertising is still common. It is difficult to determine the interconnected responsibility between influencers, advertising businesses and social networking platforms.

Typically, some recent cases related to influential people in the KOL cyberspace: Miss Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien, Ngan 98, Luong Bang Quang; Nguyen Quoc Vu (Doaan Di Bang's husband), was arrested for the crime of manufacturing and trading counterfeit goods..., creating negative public opinion, losing the trust of the public and fans.
In particular, a new emerging risk is that AI-generated video platforms can sophisticatedly forge voices, faces, settings and events. This easily creates fabricated videos, distorts history, distorts identity, and even triggers regional division; Viewers find it difficult to distinguish between real and fake, leading to damage to the local image if taken advantage.
