According to the Hung Yen Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, 2025 marks many outstanding events and achievements of the province in the fields of culture, sports and tourism, contributing to creating a solid foundation for sustainable development in the new period.
First, the arrangement and streamlining of the organizational structure is implemented drastically and synchronously. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism takes on additional functions of information management, press, and publishing; and merges with the Department and Thai Binh province from July 2025. The apparatus is consolidated in the direction of streamlining, effectiveness, and efficiency, creating an important foundation for the development of the industry in the new period.
Second, Hung Yen created a prominent mark at the Exhibition "80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness", was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister and won the "Typical Exhibition Space" award, thereby vividly promoting the image of Hung Yen homeland and people.
Third, UNESCO adopted a Resolution honoring and commemorating the 300th anniversary of the birth of Cultural Figure Le Quy Don (1726-2026), affirming the ideological, academic and international influence of the celebrity, and at the same time being a great pride of Hung Yen province.
Fourth, many large-scale cultural and artistic activities are organized on major holidays, with 11 art programs and 19 exhibitions, contributing to improving spiritual life, fostering local traditions and cultural identity.
Fifth, the 100th anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day is an opportunity to affirm the pioneering role of Hung Yen press on the ideological and cultural front, accompanying the province's development.
On Friday, the Hung Yen Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism celebrated the 80th Traditional Day, was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, recognizing the persistent contributions throughout the formation and development journey.
On Saturday, a scientific conference on restoring and reviving Pho Hien heritage was organized, along with outstanding results in heritage conservation: adding 5 more national intangible heritages, bringing the total to 29; especially the procession and worshiping ceremony of Xa Loi Duc Phat at Chuong Pagoda.
Eighth, Hung Yen Culture, Sports, and Tourism Week 2025 takes place soi noi, spreading traditional cultural values, and promoting tourism.
Ninth, the Hung Yen Provincial Culinary Festival for the 2nd time attracted more than 30,000 visitors. In 2025, Hung Yen welcomed about 3.9 million tourists, estimated revenue reached 1,700 billion VND; signed cooperation agreements with Vietnam Airlines for the period 2026-2030.
Tenth, high-performance sports made a strong impression with the national championship of the Hung Yen U11 team and many international medals, affirming the effectiveness of investment and training of athletes.
The above results show the core role of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector in the rapid, sustainable and integrated development process of Hung Yen province.
