Released in North America in December 2024, Ma Ca Dragon Nosferatu quickly entered the top 3 best-grossing horror films of 2024.
With a revenue of 176 million USD since its global release, the film by director Robert Eggers has surpassed the big names such as Smile 2 (138 million USD), Longlegs (126 million USD) to rank 3rd, after A Quiet Place: Day One and Alien: Romulus.
According to The Numbers, Ma Ca Rong nosferatu is currently ranked 48th in the list of highest-grossing horror films of all time and 37th in the list of remakes.
Surpassing Brokeback Mountain, the film became the second highest-grossing work ever by Focus Features.
With a production budget of about 50 million USD, Ma Ca Dragon Nosferatu is still able to maintain good revenue and generate significant profits; the film also marked Eggers biggest box office success, creating the premise for his upcoming projects, including The Witch and Labyrinths sequel.
Ma Ca Rong nosferatu was nominated in four categories at the 97th Oscars, including Best Actress, Costume Design, Production Design, makeup and hairdressing. The film also won the Best Actress category at the 30th Critics Choice Awards.
Ma Ca Rong nosferatu will premiere in Vietnamese theaters from February 28, 2025.
