By the evening of February 15, the box office situation continued to reverse. According to Box Office Vietnam - an independent box office statistics unit, after 1 day of defeating 3 Vietnamese films to top the box office, "Captain America: New World" was surpassed by "The billion-dollar kiss".
As of 0:00 - 18:00 on February 15, Thu Trang's films sold 67,215 tickets, earning 5.96 billion VND, with total current revenue reaching 183.7 billion VND.
Meanwhile, the "blockbuster" super hero sold 55,565 tickets, earning 5.92 billion VND. In terms of ticket sales, "The Billion Dollar Kiss" is better than "Captain America: New World" with more than 11,500 tickets.
The movie "Captain America: New World" opens a new period of Marvel with a generation of superheroes with different colors. With an investment of up to 180 million USD (4,500 billion VND), the film continues to entertain fans with action scenes, battle scenes and grand special effects.
However, the fact that the current familiar owner of the trophy and superstar title is no longer Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) but Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) has somewhat disappointed the audience.
On social networks, the film received mixed reviews. After nearly 2 days in Vietnamese theaters, the film has currently "pocketed" 18.6 billion VND.
With "The Heart" - "a spiritual child" of director Hoang Nam, it ranked 3rd at the box office with daily revenue reaching VND4.59 billion, selling 52,349 tickets, total current revenue reaching VND90.6 billion.
While Tran Thanh's "The Four Guardians" dropped to 4th place, with 32,674 tickets sold on February 15, earning 2.9 billion VND. The film's current revenue is 320,5 billion VND, making it unlikely to break the record of "Bo Gia", "Nha Ba Nu" or "Mai".
Currently ranked 5th at the Vietnamese box office is the Thai film "Ride: Giao ban cho ma".
In addition to the sub title, the fact that this film has an additional Vietnamese version with the participation of People's Artist Hong Van, actors Vo Tan Phat, Mac Van Khoa, Huynh Thanh Truc, Huynh Bao Ngoc helps the film get attention. The film's revenue has reached 8.4 billion VND, after nearly 2 days of showing.
