"Hitpig" (original title: Hitpig) reveals the emotional adventure of a team of animals led by a bounty hunting pig.
Released on the first day of Tet, this interesting and meaningful work is a strong candidate for the animation genre that the whole family cannot miss during Tet.
The first seconds of the movie trailer introduce the main character - Quy Hoi (voiced by Jason Sudeikis), an intelligent bounty hunter pig who specializes in capturing escaped animals and returning them to their owners.
Of course, talent comes with a hefty price tag. In his latest mission, Quy Hoi is offered $1 million to find the escaped elephant Dua Mam of the Leapin circus. What seemed like a simple mission quickly turns into a worldwide adventure.
On his journey, Quy Hoi, from the hunter of Dua Mam, had to regain the trust of all the animals that he had previously betrayed, and from there, together with his friends, rescue Dua Mam from the evil plot of the boss.
"The Thousand Pound Heist" attracts attention thanks to its beautiful 3D graphics with a futuristic world scene that is both modern and mysterious; the work also contains a message opposing the abuse of animals in traditional circuses and zoos, calling for the protection of animal rights through the image of the elephant Dua Mam longing for freedom.
"The Thousand Pound Heist" comes from Aniventure, the studio behind Netflix's Oscar-nominated "Klaus."
The film is co-directed by veteran animators Cinzia Angelini and David Feiss (director of "Open Season: Scared Silly").
The screenplay is based on the New York Times bestselling children's book "Pete & Pickles" by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Berkeley Breathed.
"The Thousand Pounds Mission" will be an animated film competing with the Tet films "The Four Guardians" by Tran Thanh and "The Billion Dollar Kiss" by Thu Trang on the first day of Tet.
