Born in 1971, real name is Nguyen Thuy Dong Dao, the female singer first stepped onto the stage at the age of 6. From the art movements at school, until grade 10 she regularly represented the school in competitions.
After graduating from high school, Dong Dao passed the entrance exam to the College of Culture and Arts, and was then invited to join the Military Region 7 Artistic Group. In 1991, she participated in the first Ho Chi Minh City Television Singing Contest, officially entering the path of professional singing.
For more than three decades, Dong Dao has left its mark through many familiar songs such as Bong gao kim, Huong toc ma non, Con yeu len len len len len ngay sau, Ru chua xong cau ho, Chuyen tinh nguoi non gai nguoi thi, Mua lanh tan canh... The audience loves her not only because of her sweet, deep voice but also because of her humiliation and kindness.
Sharing in the program, Dong Dao said that he has never seen enough knowledge and experience, whether as a singer or a vocal instructor. I still study every day. Music never stops and artists have to find their own creative path," she said.
As a teacher, Dong Dao expressed concern about the "learning" situation: "Many young people have skills but fall into the wrong path, trying to impersonate the people before them instead of understanding the content and finding their own strengths. The successful singer does not lie in similarity but in true emotions and creativity".
Although she does not pursue large-scale music projects, the female singer still quietly records many old songs as a way to preserve value and inspire future generations. On stage, she still maintains the same burning and enthusiasm as in the early days.
